With activities such as the Public Call, the City of Zagreb ensures a clear desire for broad inclusion of citizens and representatives of tenants from the entire area of the City of Zagreb, providing everyone with the same opportunities. The Call aims at the participation or participative nature of fellow citizens, activation and care for the quality of life, reducing the impact of climate change (such as overbuilding, urban heat islands or urban floods...).

Zagreb smart city HUB
(under the City Office for Economy, Environmental Sustainability and Strategic Planning) is connected to the ActGREEN website and GREEN-HUB service information. While we are physically present in the Zagreb Energy Center/ZEC, a one-stop shop location of the city of Zagreb for the purpose of providing information to citizens about the activities of the city of Zagreb for the needs of renewable energy sources, and we use the space as a one-stop shop project where fellow citizens can ask employees for information about the ActGREEN project, we have also equipped the space with additional equipment for meetings and work with citizens through the funds of the ActGREEN project.

In addition to the above, we offer citizens additional information that we produced in the project:
  1. MANUAL - Well-being, climate-resilient design and maintenance (HR and EN)

  2. Analysis of green areas and assessment of climate change in the Lower Town of Zagreb (HR)

  3. Climate-neutral green courtyards: from pilot project to urban transformation model (HR and EN).

Zagreb, project partnership of the ActGREEN project, also brings you an informative calculation - a CO2 calculator that uses a simple CO2 calculation and a GIS (Geographic Information System) display of your cadastral plot.

  • You can use this informative CO2 calculator to roughly and informatively find your cadastral plot that contains your residential unit and your garden in the area of the city of Zagreb, your locations can also be searched by street name and house number in the area of Zagreb.
  • You can use the tool to cut the plot and determine the square footage of the green area or the area of the garden that you want to green. The link with the map in GIS format is not a live view, for a live view you can use the portal: https://geoportal.zagreb.hr/Karta
  • We offer also very rough and informative 4 CO2 calculators that calculate your impact on CO2 by intervening in planting trees and shrubs and removing concrete and asphalt*
  • * Informative calculation refers to the CO2 absorption for trees and shrubs per kg of CO2 per year and is a rough, i.e. informative calculation (more accurate calculations depend on the type and age of the tree or shrub), while the CO2 emission of removed concrete and asphalt is also an informative calculation and refers to newly produced concrete or asphalt (removed concrete and asphalt need to be recycled in order to have a positive effect on the CO2 footprint).
