In April, we continued with workshops intended for residents who applied to the City of Zagreb’s public call for courtyard greening, as well as for all other interested citizens.
Two workshops were held — one for residents of Trešnjevka, and the other for residents of Maksimir and Peščenica — bringing together around 20 participants.
The participants discussed the importance of green courtyards for the quality of everyday life, shared their ideas, wishes, and motivations for designing and maintaining green areas. In the creative part of the workshop, through group work, they designed their ideal courtyards.
The workshops were led by professors from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture - Iva Rechner Dika, Jana Kirelj Lacković, Miroslav Poje, and Ines Hrdalo - with the support of their students.
These activities are carried out as part of the ActGREEN project, which, through cooperation with citizens, contributes to improving the urban environment and adapting to climate change.
We thank everyone for their participation, especially the Gajevo Local Committee and the Peščenica Local Committee for their hospitality!
