Are you interested in how to make cities greener and more sustainable? Join us at the educational event “The Path Towards a Sustainable and Green City” and learn how nature‑based solutions and green infrastructure can improve the quality of life in urban environments.
The training will take place on
25 February 2025 from 9:30 to 15:00 in Zagreb (HKD Napredak, Bogovićeva 1/1st floor).
The event is organised by the City of Zagreb, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture, the Croatian Association of Landscape Architects and ODRAZ as part of the ActGREEN project (Activation of Green Courtyards for Carbon Neutrality), funded through the Horizon Europe programme and NetZeroCities.
The project focuses on improving and expanding green areas in Zagreb, with an emphasis on revitalising inner courtyards of residential buildings and business premises, contributing to sustainability, quality of life and climate‑change adaptation.
What awaits you?
- Expert lectures by professors from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture.
- An overview of current policies and projects for greening urban spaces.
The lectures will cover topics such as:
- Green policies of the City of Zagreb
- Development and maintenance of green infrastructure
- Nature‑based solutions
- The impact of nature on human well‑being
- Practical solutions for greening urban environments
- Examples of good practice from Pula and Slovenia
