Final conference of the ActGREEN project: Activating Green Courtyards for Carbon Neutrality
The final conference of the ActGREEN project will be held on 23 April 2026 at the Kraš venue (Domaćica Hall), where the project results, partner experiences and possibilities for further application of nature‑based solutions in the urban space of Zagreb and other cities will be presented.
The ActGREEN project - Activating Green Courtyards for Carbon Neutrality, implemented by the
City of Zagreb in partnership with the
University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture, the organisation
ODRAZ - Sustainable Community Development, and the
Croatian Association of Landscape Architects, is approaching its final stage.
We are pleased to announce the project’s final conference, which will take place on
Thursday, 23 April 2026, from 9:30 to 16:00 at the KRAŠ venue in Zagreb - Domaćica Hall (Ravnice 48).

We invite all citizens to participate in the conference and to register via the
Google form.
The official language of the conference is Croatian, translation from English will be provided, and participation is open with prior registration.

What does the final conference offer?
The conference programme is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the results and achievements of the ActGREEN project, which throughout its implementation has encouraged the green transformation of urban courtyards, the development of nature‑based solutions and the involvement of citizens in creating sustainable communities.
The planned content includes:
- Presentation of project results by the project team, including legal, administrative and technical requirements, implementation challenges and elements that may serve as a model for other cities. Special emphasis will be placed on the benefits of participating in the NetZeroCities community and partner experiences.
- Presentations by experts in landscape architecture and nature‑based solutions, who will showcase the latest trends and examples of good practice.
- Exchange of experiences between representatives of courtyards renovated within the City of Zagreb’s pilot project and ActGREEN, together with experts and students from the Faculty of Agriculture.
- Discussions with designers and colleagues from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture about their work and practical experiences during project implementation.
